This old honey bee hive was rescued and relocated from a soon-to-be demolished barn in Berthoud, Colorado. Chad Street, owner of Longmont-based Bees & Trees, takes us through the entire process of removal, relocation and combining the new hive into a previously relocated hive on his bee-friendly farm.

I'm thrilled my friend Chad let me tag along on this honey bee hive removal and relocation. I learned a lot about honey bees and the hive lifecycle.
