There is hardly a sphere in life that has not been profoundly transformed following the advancement of the digital in recent decades. Classical music makes is no exception. It has become much more accessible – everyone carries the whole library of great classical music recordings in their pockets. As AI is changing the way we work, in not-so-distant future people will have more and more time to dedicate to appreciating the arts. The question is how the classical music scene can grasp the opportunity and be proactive in order to win new audiences. The young Israeli-American conductor YOEL GAMZOU, whose artistry has enchanted audience across Europe, and who has been called by the media “unshakeable, radical, uncompromising, possessed genius”, seems to know how. In conversation with VHF co-founder DESSY GAVRILOVA.
