The album 'Blue Synthesis' was composed and recorded in 2005 when I used music-making to recover from trauma. Inspired by Brian Eno's music, I bought a Yamaha CS-1x synthesizer (hence the 'Blue' Synthesis) on eBay. This music was produced with that and a PC running Cubase.

These songs embrace numerous influences of jazz fusion from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, albums that I grew up listening to as a teenager: work such as Jeff Beal's 'Liberation'; Miles Davis 'Bitches' Brew' and 'Amandla'; music by Chick Corea's Electrik Band; John Scofield, Allan Holdsworth and John McLaughlin/Mahavishnu.

Separately, I wrote the lyrics 'Jezebel' in 2021. Here they are for your reference:

'Jezebel (2021)'

Queen of the night
Ruling in the dark
Can you hear the dogs
Of judgment bark?
Princess of pain
Defy-er of love
Enemy of the prophet
With word from above

Jezebel, my dear
What of your life
You tasted love
A royal wife
Dirt-filled heart
Face daubed in red
Didn’t you hear
What Elijah said?

Seductive sister
Ahab’s demise
Worshipping Baal
The idol of lies
Elijah the seer
Proclaiming your doom
No corpse left
To lay in a tomb

Jezebel, my dear
What of your life
You tasted love
A royal wife
Dirt-filled heart
Face daubed in red
Didn’t you hear
What Elijah said?

Fire in your eyes
Sterile and cold
Mother to females
Defiantly bold
Loveless you spoke
Against the Spirit
Cursing your soul
To Hades infinite

Jezebel, my dear
What of your life
You tasted love
A royal wife
Dirt-filled heart
Face daubed in red
Didn’t you hear
What Elijah said?
