Sensational find in the middle of the Eifel: One of the oldest surviving Samba Bullis was found between weeds and undergrowth.
The VW Samba is the ultimate cult Bulli, whether for hippie road trips, camping holidays or simply for a weekend trip. Who doesn't look forward to seeing such a nostalgic VW bus driving down the Autobahn?

"There can never be a car out of it again" - Florian Kalff often had to listen to this sentence. Because even for classic car fans, his Bulli seemed to be a hopeless case. 2017 were found several rusted VW parts. It soon turned out that they came from a first-generation VW Bulli, a T1 Samba from 1951. The T1 is the oldest VW bus in the world.

"Making the impossible possible" was the challenge for Florian Kalff: He collected the individual parts and bought additional accessories. A community from all over Germany has supported him in his project. He worked on his bus for five years, often day and night. His goal: the world's largest international VW classic car meeting in Hessisch Oldendorf near Hanover - but he first has to drive 270 kilometers there. Will the old Bulli do it?
