Join me on a Divequest adventure as we explore the tidal pools of Jogashima, just an hour and a half away from Tokyo! 🌊 This location offers convenient access, making it a popular spot, but it also reveals surprising beauty beneath the surface. Dive into vibrant seaweed forests, encounter schools of sardines, and marvel at the diverse marine life.

⭐️ Locations:
There are two locations close to each other.

📍 35°07'56.6"N 139°36'47.1"E - Perfect for confident swimmers, vibrant seaweed, occasional sardine schools. Higher waves early in the morning. Max depth around 8m.

📍 35°08'02.1"N 139°36'37.8"E - Beginner-friendly, minimal current, max depth 6m, less clear water. Little to no waves through out the day.

Not every dive spot is made equal, but there is beauty in every corner of the ocean. Amid signs of human activity, I was amazed by the abundance of sea creatures living around the bumpy sedimentary rocks, from sea feathers to juvenile fish. The serene seabed and the summer sunshine rays created a truly beautiful experience.

During my dive, I collected a pouch full of rubbish including, plastic bags, fishing weights, plastic fishing feeder baskets, artificial baits and cans. The amount of trash floating around the marine life reminded me of the importance of protecting our natural environment, especially places close to home.

*Remember to always dive with a buddy and stay safe. Enjoy the adventure responsibly!
