"G20: Global Integration and Contemporary Challenges

In this session at the VIII BRICS Conference, we will debate how the G20 is confronting contemporary global challenges and the evolving role of emerging economies in addressing issues such as international diplomacy, economic cooperation, and global governance. Experts will explore the shifting dynamics of global governance and the critical role of emerging economies, focusing on the G20's response to pressing issues in these areas. Join us as we analyze the intersections of regional influence, diplomatic strategy, and global cooperation. What challenges does the G20 face, and how will emerging powers contribute to the future? What are the potentialities of BRICS as a coordinated group in G20 in shaping the global landscape?

Daniela Secches (Brazil) – Doctor in International Relations from PUC Minas, coordinator of the International Relations undergraduate program at PUC Minas, and specialist in Eastern European states and international relations theory and methodology.
Pravin Sawhney (India) – Editor of FORCE magazine (National Security and Defence), author, former Indian Army officer.
Elizabeth Sidiropoulos (South Africa) – Chief Executive of the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), with an MA in International Relations from the University of the Witwatersrand.
Prof. Wang Wen (China) - Professor & Dean of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies (RDCY), the Deputy Dean and Distinguished Professor of Silk Road School, Renmin University of China; Secretary-General of the Green Finance Committee of China Society for Finance and Banking, Researcher of the Financial Research Center of the Counsellor Office of the State Council.
