On July 7, 2024 MKBS hosted its 23rd Anniversary Appreciation Luncheon at the Pavilion Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.This event is graced by the presence of members of the Maha Sangha. The gathering also warmly welcomed approximately 300 Buddhist Members.
During the event, Chief Reverend B Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera, the Founder and Spiritual Advisor of MKBS, shared, "Each one of us gathered here is blessed with 23rd remarkable years. For 23 years, Maha Karuna Buddhist Society did not have a physical shelter. We relied on the goodwill of others, moving from place to place to conduct our activities, always mindful of the absence of a permanent shelter. Now, after more than 2 years of construction work, Maha Karuna Vihara (Temple) is near to its completion. It would not be possible without the support of the public.โ
The proceeds of the auction ceremony is contributing to the establishment fund of Maha Karuna Vihara, which has been under construction since February 2022.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors who generously provided valuable art pieces for the auction ceremony. We also express our sincere thanks to all the well-wishers whose involvement and support made the auction session a resounding success.
Buddhist devotees were treated to mesmerising performances during the event.
The organising Chairwoman, sister Yee Shin with the dedicated team worked tirelessly, attending to every details of the event, ensuring its success, and leaving a heart-warming impact on all who attended.
The President of Maha Karuna Buddhist Society, Brother Jacob Chan Teng Meng appreciated the support and involvement of public members over the years who shared the same goal as Maha Karuna to support the community with the guidance of Dhamma.
