So here's a locomotive I wished for back in the 70s when I first saw it in the 75-76? catalog. Lionel MPC era Hudson with a sound of steam/whistle tender. I touched up the paint chips, replaced the worn traction tire, then cleaned/lubed the motor to get it running great. A nice addition to the collection and a behemoth of a locomotive. The sound of steam may be a far cry from the sound today but back in the day it was the premiere offering in the Lionel catalog. I put a long stream of Marx/Marx mold cars behind it.
