At last - some relief from Tangmere! Let's not be unkind to Tangmere - what would we have done without her for so much of this year?
Sir Nigel's magnificent namesake arrives at the Border City with the Settle and Carlisle Fellsman from Crewe on a wild wet day. I hadn't anticipated much today but a few surprises were in store. I would have liked to film 60007 from the air on the S&C but, I'm afraid, the weather made that a non-starter.
However, it proved an interesting day in many ways - even to the variety of excuses made for delayed or cancelled trains!
