The Two-Hearted River is in the eastern Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. The river runs approximately 23.6 miles through a forest wilderness and drains into Lake Superior. A rustic campground is located at the mouth of the river. A bridge takes the visitor across the river onto stunning landscapes of sand dunes, rocks, and sandy shorelines. Earnest Hemingway's account of Nick Adam's solitary fishing trip is actually about The Fox River. His short story told of The Two Hearted due to its poetry.
