I show how I removed a stuck Moen shower cartridge using an Easy Out tool. I initially attempted to remove the sleeve of the cartridge using a tap and dowel, but I apparently did not have the right size tap, so I searched my toolbox and found a No. 6 easy out that did the trick. This Moen shower valve is 45 years old and hadn't been used in at least a year. The cartridge was stuck due to an accumulation of mineral deposits over time. It is a very common problem.
