Often confused with Half Dome's "Visor", the actual Diving Board is a massive outcropping of rock jutting out near the base of Half Dome's western shoulder nearly 3,500' above Yosemite Valley. It was from this location that Ansel Adams took his famous photograph of Half Dome ("Monolith") that launched his career. There is no established trail to the Diving Board, but that doesn't mean it cannot be found....
