In this video, I wanted to build on my previous video about Japanese business culture by explaining my honest experiences starting and running a company in Japan. Essentially what to expect, what is most important to plan for? What tasks were easy to do and what was surprisingly hard, or maybe went against popular stereotypes, like the Japanese are hard working or/and don’t need much management. Also, just so you know, a quick Google search will give you lots of resources that includes lists of what steps to follow to set up a company in Japan, so I won’t laboriously go through the process, instead I’ll try to share my personal experiences, and spoiler alert, it’s mostly pain & suffering! But it has been totally worth it, I have zero regrets about starting a company in Japan.
