Senpai Annam, Lead BJJ Instructor at the UFC Gym BJ Penn in Kailua, HI, shows you the basics of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

In this video, learn how to escape a scarf-hold headlock (aka Kesa Gatame) when the opponent is not controlling your arm. If the opponent does not control the bottom arm, then you will have a lot of room to move your hips out of the way so that you can pull you opponent into the empty space you have create. You must follow up with breaking the opponent's grip to get your head free and eventually finish them with the armbar.
