My first time fishing a trout Spey rod and I find some nice brown trout. I received this Echo trout Spey 11-foot 3wt rod as a Christmas present and I was very excited to try it. after my first cast I knew this rod was going to be awesome. I fished for a bit with an OPST 5-foot floating tip with no luck, so I switched to a 5-foot 3ips sink tip and I had a fish on almost instantly. fought that fish for a minute but it shook the hook. after that I catch two big brown trout on drunken disorderly flies in yellow. This Lake Ontario tributary is special.
