In April 1971 CBC debuted a brand new variety half hour series titled THE IRISH ROVERS and the first guest was Anne Murray who had a hit the previous year with "Snowbird." The Irish Rovers were Will Millar, Jimmy Ferguson, George Millar, Joe Millar and Wilcil McDowell.
