With the somewhat recent departure of the beloved Smash Summit series, the greater Smash community was in desperate need of a new invitational event. We NEEDED a blistering battleground to unite together the strongest Ultimate players on the planet for a chance at the title of World Champion.

Announced back in July of this year, the collaboration of Lights Out (‪@EEvisu‬), Tweek Talks (‪@TweekSsb‬), and ‪@FGCUniversity‬ along with the ‪@Guildhouse‬ brought us the first iteration of Smash Ultimate's newest invitational series -- Watch The Throne.
