I am planning a future wheel upgrade and I want my fender flares to better match the new wheels and the existing trim on the truck. I show you how to remove the factory installed fender flares and install aftermarket ones in their place.

Tools required:

Push pin removal tool, pick or thin screwdriver, side cutters or needle nose pliers, 10mm socket and ratchet and optional impact.

Process:
Remove all push pins at each fender flare. There will be 18 in all. 10 in front and 8 in the rear.
Remove four 10mm nuts at the front of the forward fender flares.
Remove 4 bolts at the bottom of the rear fender flares.
Remove the flares by disconnecting the fender flares from the fender flare tabs.
Remove the fender flare tabs from the fenders.
Wash and clean the fenders. Optional: Apply wax to protect the paint surface under the flares.
Install the new flares.
Install push pins to secure the flares.
Install all the 10 mm mounting hardware.
