This is a humbly made video made on a blower motor assembly replacement on an 02 Ford Ranger, 2.3L engine. I do not claim to be an expert at all! I knew my blower motor was going out (vs. the resistor) because it was working intermittently for a few months. Then I was having to tap or bump it with my fist to make it come on. Then it went out. I will look at the resistor later if I have further problems down the road.

Please excuse the video taping, I am not the best at making videos (as you will see my title page at the end of the video lol); I made this so perhaps I might be able to share some mistakes I made along the way and save some other people some time by not doing what I did. I had to do some severe editing so if it's choppy in some places, that's why.

This will probably take you about an hour, if that. In my engine, I didn't have to remove anything out of it to make room to replace this part--I just unplugged a couple things.

Tools needed:
8mm socket

NOTE: this assembly was bought through ebay seller 'trueblueautoparts'. I get no incentive for promoting them here, but I have bought parts from them before and they are VERY reasonable on prices. Also, if you send them your VIN before you make your purchase, they will ensure you are buying the correct part. I priced this part in my local auto stores and for the same assembly, I was looking at $70. Through 'trueblue', I paid $37 and free shipping!
