The Michigan Merit Curriculum: Flexibility in awarding credit and the personal curriculum with Rashell Bowerman from Michigan Department of Education

There are various pathways to complete the Michigan Merit Curriculum (MMC) graduation requirements. The Personal Curriculum (PC) is a tool to modify the MMC requirements, individualizing a student’s high school experience so they can be career and college ready.

Rashell helps viewers gain a better understanding of the MMC graduation requirements and the PC. She breaks down what these means and provides clear examples to see how education can be tailored to the needs of a student and provides guidance on how to make such decisions.

This webinar focuses on:
• Defining the required credits of the MMC
• Explaining the modifications that are allowed through a PC
• Providing guidance on how to make such decisions appropriately, based on a student’s post-school plans.
