Winter is just around the corner and now is the perfect time to get started on those garden DIY projects. Not much is growing and those high maintenance jobs which we had a lot of during the growing season are put on pause, giving us much more time to crack on with putting things in place for next year.
I've done a lot of DIY projects at the allotment over the past few years. But this arguably has to be the biggest one yet, and it will make the allotment (almost) completely no dig!
I'll show you my plans for the winter, and we will also go over some other stuff around the plot too. Things are winding down, but we are actually still growing lots of vegetables over the winter.. like cabbages, purple sprouting broccoli, cauliflower, Kale, spring onions, leeks, carrots, parsnips, garlic, and even spinach and lettuce!

Winter is often associated with cold weather and no vegetables growing. But this isn't true! There's still lots of veggies to still be grown, and lots of jobs to do as well!
