The first time I used these I done a quick sound test between the different profiles just before the gig was about to start to see which was the best profile for that venue, I found FOH was the best for this venue loads of volume at high level and plenty of headroom not that I was using them at stupidly high level once guests arrived, D contour off gave a nice balance across the mid-highs and bass, D contour on gave an extended bottom end at a reasonable high level before the clip light would come on, it's more for lower level applications where that bottom end is required.
Monitor profile bought out the mid-highs and reduced the bass a bit because of this I thought it lack body, naturally given the profile name stands to reason that it's emphasis is on vocals.
I know the hall was empty at the time of carrying out the sound check before anyone mentions that, but it sounded just the same even when the dance floor was packed awesome, I was very impressed and at the end of the night I touched the back of the amp panel and is was almost near cold.
