Entering Yosemite through the Wawona Tunnel is an amazing experience. The Tunnel is 4,233 ft long (the longest tunnel in California) and seems much longer when driving through it. The tunnel was bored through solid granite in1933 and it truly feels like you are driving through the middle of the mountain.

When you exit the tunnel you are presented with a majestic view of the Yosemite Valley. Even though I entered the park on a rainy/snowy day it was an amazing sight. I did not know about the tunnel prior to my first visit and it was a unexpected delight.
