In my large mathematics course for incoming graduate students, I'm math instructor, swim coach, and cheerleader, and I love it. I'll share my thoughts on how to help new graduate students overcome common anxieties and thrive, and why I regularly jump into new, and sometimes pretty cold, teaching waters myself.
