On Frigidaire Affinity Dryers or Electrolux dryers, you may experience three different error codes relating to heat problems. Any error code in the E6* category will be related in some way to the heating circuit on Frigidaire dryers and Electrolux dryers. If your dryer is not heating or drying very well, or cutting off, you may see one of these error codes pop up. Here is how to diagnose exactly what is causing the error codes and what you need to do to make your dryer dry again.

Frigidaire dryer E61 error code deals with bad relays on the control board. You can check them to make sure they are all open with the power off.

Frigidaire dryer E63 error code deals with a ground on the heating circuit. Typically this will occur at the heating element. You can check it by opening the dryer and testing the heating element.

Frigidaire dryer E64 error code is an open circuit on the heating circuit. Again, this is typically found by testing the heating element in your Frigidaire Affinity dryer.

Please note that faulty thermostats on the heating circuit can also create this error cose.
