I was able to fish the 8'6" 6 weight, 9' 7 weight, and 9' 6 weight with streamers on the Beaverhead River shortly after visiting the Winston Factory in Twin Bridges Montana with my family. We fished both floating lines and sink tips, with big streamers and mouse patterns. The footage from the mouse fishing was almost pitch dark and didn't turn out, unfortunately.

These rods punch streamers as well or better than anything I've ever fished, but its no wonder as they get tested and prototyped by trout junkies that fish after work almost every single day! These rods are purpose-built for streamer fishing. I didn't fish nymphs, and don't think that the action will provide the mending and line feeding touch necessary to be considered a top-tier nymphing rod. The AIR 2 would be a better fit for that.
