Doctors have always told us that cholesterol clogs the arteries and that we should avoid cholesterol in ghee, butter, and other sources of cholesterol. Instead they tell us to use vegetable oils and margarine, since they don’t contain any cholesterol.

This has caused the number of heart attacks and strokes to skyrocket. And heart disease is still the #1 leading cause of death in many countries, even though people are following low fat diets and are on statin drugs, the drugs which lower cholesterol.

This is because the emphasis is being placed on the cholesterol number in our blood work and that’s all. But we need to delve into the problem more deeply than just avoiding cholesterol in the diet, keeping our cholesterol low in our blood work and thinking we’re safe from heart attack and strokes.

We should shift our focus away from eating a low fat diet and keeping our cholesterol low to instead trying to keep our blood thinned out and clean, and our arteries free from artery-clogging plaque.

To do this we need to avoid foods which could clog our arteries, some of which may have cholesterol in them and some which don’t. We need to eat foods which contain cholesterol which won’t clog our arteries as cholesterol is important for our hormones, nerve tissue and brain functions, all of which rely on adequate amounts of cholesterol in our diets.

The ironic thing is that vegetable oils which don’t contain cholesterol (including trans fats, hydrogenated oils, margarines and various types of oils such as sunflower, safflower, Canola and others) actually clog our arteries since they form a plastic when heated and seriously clog the arteries as our bodies can’t digest plastic. Even more ironic is that the type of fat in butter and ghee is very safe for the arteries as it can’t oxidize; oxidized cholesterol is the real culprit in clogging the arteries.

And many people think that because they eat olive oil they are safe because people in Mediterranean countries eat olive oil and live long, healthy lives. However, much of the olive oil on the supermarket shelves has been processed using heat and chemicals and includes a blend of dangerous vegetable oils, which keeps the price of olive oil low, but then contributes to clogging of the arteries. The video will teach you how to pick out the best quality olive oil on the market.

It’s important for you to learn these truths about cholesterol and heart disease otherwise you could be misled to take statin drugs and eat a low fat diet, one which includes dangerous fats which could predispose you to heart disease, even though your cholesterol is low on blood work.
