Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam The original name was called Khlong Tha Dan Dam It is the longest compacted concrete dam in Thailand and in the world, with a total length of 2,720 meters and a height (maximum) of 93 meters, receiving water flowing from Khao Yai National Park through Haew Narok Waterfall into the reservoir. It has a capacity of approximately 224 million cubic meters and is located at Ban Tha Dan, Hin Tang Subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Nayok District. Nakhon Nayok Province blocks the Nakhon Nayok River. Built under the royal initiative of His Majesty King Rama IX, the Cabinet approved the budget in 1997. Construction began on 2 November 1999, completed in December 2004, and began storing water in October 2005.
