On October 17, 2024, the military history collection "British Armed Forces in Berlin - Occupiers. Protecting Power for Freedom. Allies and Friends" was ceremoniously opened in the Blücher Barracks in Berlin-Kladow. The Bundeswehr's Medical Regiment 1, Berlin Command Area, is stationed in the Blücher Barracks. This barracks was called Montgomery Barracks from 1945 to 1994.The permanent exhibition focuses on the work of British soldiers and civilian employees to protect democracy in West Berlin, but also on their lives and those of their families in the city.
