U9 is positioned as a pure electric sports car equipped with Yi Sifang platform technology and Yunnan-X intelligent body control system. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.36 seconds and reach a top speed of 300 km/h.

In terms of appearance, the design of the U9 is uniquely aggressive. The front of the car has sharp and powerful lines that make a strong impression. The unique C-shaped light group makes the car very recognizable at night. It is worth noting that the U9 comes with carbon fiber components as standard and is equipped with electric butterfly doors. The rear of the car has a large-sized carbon fiber fixed spoiler, and there are adjustable wings under the rear diffuser to improve the car's aerodynamic performance.

In terms of size, the length, width and height of the U9 are 4966/2029/1295 (1338) mm, the wheelbase is 2900 mm, and the tire sizes are 275/35 R21 and 325/30 R21, respectively.

In terms of interior, the U9 is equipped with a double-sided cockpit design. The left and right mirrors highlight the beauty of symmetry, and are covered with a large amount of carbon fiber and suede materials, reflecting the ultimate sports car style. In addition, the new car has a full LCD display and a vertically arranged 12.3-inch central control screen, a driving mode control button and touch buttons under the screen.

In terms of power, the U9 is equipped with a four-motor system. The maximum power of each motor is as high as 240 kilowatts, the combined power reaches a staggering 960 kilowatts (1306 horsepower), and the combined peak torque is 1680 N. m, and the official acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers is only 2.36 seconds. The maximum speed can reach 300 km/h. In terms of battery life, the new car is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a capacity of 80 kWh, a CLTC operating range of 450 km, and a new generation of CTB battery body integration technology that supports maximum charging. It takes only 10 minutes to reach 30%-80% SOC at 500 kW power.

In terms of chassis, U9 adopts front swing type and rear multi-link independent suspension, and is equipped with Yunnan-X intelligent body control system. Equipped with this technology, it is currently BYD's most valuable technology. It can realize advanced functions such as "body dance" and "three-wheel drive".
