No mountain bike genre is as versatile as trail bikes. The all-rounders have to provide a lot of safety downhill and demonstrate resilience, while at the same time being a lot of fun in typical trail situations - and all of this in a light, efficient and durable overall package. But which trail bike is currently the king of all-rounders? To determine this, we extensively tested eight models from Cannondale, Canyon, Last, Norco, Orbea, Propain, Santa Cruz and YT against each other on the challenging trails on the Côte d'Azur.
