This is the second Phantom I have owned, these cars are now over 20 years old (2003 and up) and a Rolls-Royce dealer will not usually work on a car this old, besides, they charge $250 an hour and about $1000 or more to do a "service". This car was a salvage I picked up for under $60K and I have fixed it up and doubled it's value. I get to drive this premium luxury car for less than the cost of the average new pickup truck. I am not a professional mechanic, but I have changed me own oil on every car I have ever owned. That's why I bought this house when I saw the previous owner installed a PIT into the garage!
Also, I have had many "mechanics" complain that I wear a watch, a belt buckle, etc.
Somehow I am aware of my surroundings, I don't lean on the car, I don't wallow on the fender.
I suppose if I were going to lay on top of the fender I would take it off, but for the last 30 years of working on my own cars I have never once scratched it.
My fat belly seems to be the perfect barrier! - lol
The purpose of this video is to show that these cars are just like any other and the average Joe can live with them and work on them. Good luck!
