We take a first look into the realhardwork hive for the 2020 season.


It's been a good winter and the bees have been working hard to keep things going inside.


We kick things off with a small brush fire, but no damage done..


Alex talks about some of the tools needed for beekeeping and describes all the different types of bees in the hive as well as the stages that they take from birth to work.


He also performs some maintenance on the frames to keep the box neat for when we go back in later.



We get a rare chance to see the queen bee in action while going through the honey super - We'll be gettin' honey in no time!!
