After reading the story of Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane & desperately wanting his friends to wait up with him as He prayed and was in turmoil anticipating his own crucifixion, I had a new sense of compassion about waiting with Him. I must have read that story hundreds of times, but something hit me anew.

Soaking in His presence isn’t just about us - it’s about Him! God yearns for us to be ‘present’ to Him & absolutely loves our loving attention - as any parent would their child.

“Come wait a while with me
Come and sit, come and sit and be with me
So we wait, we wait”
