Part 2 of the Hitachi Zaxis 135US Excavator paint and weathering video, in which I finish Hasegawa's excellent 1/35 kit after taking it up to the initial weathering stages in Part 1


Using a limited palette of products including Mig Ammo, Vallejo and Humbrol I tried to replicate the following effects:


Dry Dust on the upper part of the model
Dry and Damp Mud on the tracks/running gear
Wet effects to add texture to the mud
Chipping and scratches on the orange base coat
Oil/fluid leaks on the hydraulics and articulated sections
