We are showing the method for changing the lead car in a Pace and Chase session. The lead car will drop back to the last position ahead of the Chase car allowing the second car to become the lead behind the Pace car.
This is performed each lap and flows to allow the passing cars to optimize the corner as they normally would.
The lead car provides a "pit-in" signal at the apex indicating that they are moving off line and slowing (as you would pitting in). The cars following are able to remain on line as they exit the corner and continue accelerating on the straight.
Finally the Chase car provides a gap for the former lead car to drop in and become the last student car in the line.
