EastMojo's recent Decoded episode titled, “Are Pradyot & TIPRA Motha failing to live up to the hype?” raised important questions about the promises made to Tripura’s indigenous communities. It focused on the commitments made by Pradyot Manikya Debbarma, the royal scion of Tripura and founder of TIPRA Motha. The episode also explored the various challenges Debbarma and his party face in delivering on these promises.

Following the episode, which did not sit well with Debbarma, EastMojo conducted an exclusive interview with him to address the concerns raised. In the interview, several key questions were posed, including: Why is the TTAADC experiencing a fund shortage? When will the TIPRASA Accord be implemented? And was the alliance with the BJP a compromise for TIPRA Motha’s goals?

Debbarma responded candidly to all the questions, shedding light on the issues and offering his perspective on the challenges facing his party, the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council and the indigenous people of Tripura.
