Jock took a trip out to the now closed Pipeline 4WD track in Lithgow to check out the sad sight for himself. But it doesn’t stop with Pipeline, The mecca of 4WDing that is Coffs Harbour could be next. What can YOU do about it? 👇

I am writing to you regarding the Great Koala National Park project and 4WD access within this vital area. As a concerned member of the public and advocate for both environmental conservation and sustainable recreation, I urge your office to consider maintaining 4WD access in this region within the plan.

The proposed Great Koala National Park will be a significant ecological asset, providing habitat for a diverse range of species, especially the iconic koala. With infrastructure being proposed for horse riding, mountain biking and hiking, it is equally important to include the option for 4WD access. This would allow for more recreational activities and ensure all visitors enjoy the beautiful environment.

By implementing infrastructure such as track boundary fencing, rubbish collection points at park entrances, erosion management and other viable solutions that promote sustainable 4WD access, we can work together to find a balance between conservation efforts, and the significant tourism and economic benefit that 4WDers bring to the local area annually.

As an avid and passionate 4WDer and lover of the bush, I look forward to your reply and hope you will consider the positive aspects of continued 4WD access alongside other recreational opportunities in your decision-making process.
